Tools: watering can, squeegee, knife and cutter, non-woven fabrics, scrapers, etc.
Step one: glass rinsing
Spray the window to be filmed with a mild soapy solution water first, then clean the window with a squeegee, scraping dirt with a scraper if necessary, cutting off excess glass cement. Thorough cleaning should be done before film sticking, making sure all dirt or residue be removed.
Step two: film sticking
1. Stick the film. Peel off the protective release film first, spray soapy solution water on the sticky side of the film and the window glass just cleaned, then press top of the film into the top of the window, gently smooth the film across and down the window until approximate size is reached. Carefully cut to the right size of the window.
2. Smooth out water and air bubbles. Spray the film with soapy water first to make it wet , then press the film with a squeegee or a credit card. The wetter the window, the easier it is to smooth out water and air bubbles.
Step three: film trimming and bubble cleaning
Carefully check the film fringes, continue to smooth out soapy water and air bubbles with a squeegee, press harder on the film fringe to make it stickier, trim off any excess film.
Notice:
Small leftover air bubbles will disappear with evaporation after some time. For larger air bubbles, stick with a needle to let out the air, then smooth with a squeegee.
